Anne Abley is a Melbourne-based artist whose work is guided by feeling, observation, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. Working with warmth and sensitivity, Anne creates art that speaks directly to the heart, capturing subjects that evoke love, joy, peace, and wonder. From cherished pet portraits of much-loved cats and dogs to radiant sunsets, rolling beach waves, and the quiet magic of the landscape, her work celebrates the moments and connections that make life meaningful.

In 2025, Anne achieved a series of significant milestones with the Pastel Society of Victoria, Australia. She was awarded the John Withers Scholarship Program, received 1st place three times in the Members Encouragement Award, and was named the overall 2025 MEA Emerging Category winner. She was also honoured with the Emerging Pastel Artist Award at the Pastel Society of Victoria’s Annual Exhibition, further recognising her growing presence and promise as a pastel artist.

Anne’s ability to connect with audiences has also been recognised through the People’s Choice Award at the Hughesdale Art Group Art Show, which she won in both 2023 and 2025. Her 2023 work, a charming portrait titled Would You Like Your Slippers, and her 2025 drawing of a Golden Retriever delighted viewers and reflected her gift for creating artwork filled with character, warmth, and joy.
